I would like to thank
the residents of District 6 for giving me the opportunity to
represent you and all of the residents in DuPage County. Since being
elected, I wanted to give an update of what I have been working on.
I am proud to say we finished off 2009 with an approximate surplus
of $10 million and were able to fund all county services without
cutting county employees. We were also able to fund some services
that our state is delinquent on. Working with other members on the
board, we were able to save meals on wheels, probation programs and
many other vital services were not cut due to lack of funding.
I have been attending as many city council and school board meetings
as physically possible as well as Mayors and Managers and
neighborhood meetings. My main focus has been to listen to the needs
and concerns of the residents and improving our quality of life in
DuPage County. We have also been pushing for transparency in our
County government financially and accountability of the use your of
tax dollars.
I am always open to new ideas and look forward to hearing from my
constituents. I will continue to work to be a part of the solution
to problems, and not a part of the problem. A quote that I wrote and
practice everyday is There are no bad ideas when it comes to
improving ones quality of life, only those squandered by he or she
not acting upon them to make them a reality and not just a dream.
Together we are making DuPage County a great place to live. I am
proud to be the voice of the people, insuring that the needs and
ideas of the people are heard and acted upon.
