There are nearly 48 million Americans without health insurance and Dupage County has over 50,000 people without health insurance and are living at poverty level. I will work with hospitals and clinics in Dupage County to provide more charitable healthcare for needy residents. I will compile a list of these hospitals and clinics that are willing to provide these services and I will make this list easily available to our residents. This would ease the case loads at the Health Department and would help to open funds for other programs. I am certain that if the County Board would aggressively pursue the help of hospitals and clinics, these establishments would step up and make it possible to give our residents these much needed services.
