We can no longer expect to fund our education system largely and almost solely on property taxes. The legislature must be made fiscally responsible and fund this plan by setting aside a designated amount of funds in the state budget. Our schools, teachers and most of all our children (the future leaders of this state and country) deserve better. I will try my hardest to see they get the help that is extremely necessary to continue a high standard of education.
