I was born in Aurora, Illinois in 1960, graduated from high school in 1980 and have worked as a Union Ironworker for over 25 years. I was elected to the DuPage County Board in 2008 and I represent District 6. I served in the U.S.M.C. from 1983-1986 and was a member of the Presidential Security Forces and also a member of the U.S.M.C. Silent Drill Team in Washington, D.C. I volunteered for a second tour in the U.S.M.C. for Desert Shield/Desert Storm and was highly decorated for my service. Locally, I am a Democratic Precinct Committeeman in Winfield Township. I am a lifetime member of VFW Post 1197 in Batavia, IL, a member of the DuPage County Marines Corp League, a member of First Division Cantigny Post 556 American Legion, and a member of the Winfield Township Democratic Organization. I have been a Union Ironworker for over 25 years with Local #393 in Aurora, IL and I am the Co founder of the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans in Wheaton, IL. I have been married to my wife Trudy for 15 years and we have four sons ages 8-13.
